At the end of the movie, the lovers kissed and stood in the construction site covered by cement. As one of the most romantic burial, it’s incredible. When I was doing plaster bricks, I imagined what it would like to be buried. Maybe it would be peaceful.
"If you want to leave, here will be a prison. If you want to stay, here will be a fortress. There is no difference."

#Fragrant Sacrifice
In 1972, Yam-Pak performed on stage and sang Di Nü Hua for the "618" flood disaster fundraising. The floods and landslides brought the highest death toll in the history of Hong Kong, making this song more tragic.
If this place is not invaded and no one sings praise of the prince, would he still be willing to stay with her in death and burial?

#Undercurrent
This is a song sang by Faye Wong, but I prefer the version of Wong Yiu Ming. One day I saw the MV and I realized that it was the song of a movie. In the end of the movie, Tsang Chi Wai asked what Chan Kam Hung was doing on September 16, 1984 .
He said, "Strange! Suddenly, you see something disappeared but there are something more. As if you wake up, there is a thief who stole a lot of your things, but also left something you don’t need."

#Soil
God Gun was sent by Emperor Yao to govern the flood but it is said that he stole Xi Rang, the Swelling Earth that had a self-expanding ability to grow continuously, for the construction of the dam. The Emperor of Heaven thus sent someone to kill Gun in Yushan but his body did not decay while his son, Yu was born. In the end, Yu completed his father's task and became the one who leaves a good reputation for ages.
It is said that Yao is the first person who create the city. It is also possible that the remaining of Xi Rang are being used in urban construction.

#水泥
電影的結尾,男女主角擁吻著,站在工地的鋼筋籠底,被水泥蓋過了頭頂。不得了,最浪漫的合葬不過於此吧。所以我一邊做著石膏水泥磚,一邊想象被埋在裡面會是什麼感覺,大概有點像土葬,也許會很安心吧。
「想離開此地的話此地即是牢獄,想留在此地的話此地即是堡壘,這裡跟那裡都是一樣的。」

#《香夭》
1972年,為「六一八」水災籌款演出,任白最後一次登台演唱「帝女花之香夭」。這香港歷史上死亡人數最高的洪水及山泥傾瀉,將這曲亡國公主與駙馬的斷腸花燭夜襯得更加悲情。
時隔多年,如果現在的江山已沒有那樣悲壯的災劫,也不會再有為此千秋歌讃的靈牌,我想知道駙馬還是否依然甘願殉葬 。

#《暗湧》
原唱是王菲,但我更喜歡黃耀明版本的。後來找來 mv 看,才知道原來是電影片尾插曲。青馬大橋的空鏡中,曾志偉問陳錦鴻1984年9月16日在做甚麼。
「好奇怪,突然間唔見左嘢,又突然間多左好多嘢,好似你瞓醒,有個賊入左你屋,偷曬你所有嘅嘢,又擺翻一堆唔等使嘅嘢系到......」他說。
「仍靜候著你說我別錯用神,什麼我都有預感」他唱。

#息壤
堯帝派鲧治理洪水,傳說他為了筑壩偷了天庭的神物「息壤」, 想用這種常生不息的土壤填堙洪水,天帝因此派人將他擊殺於羽山,他的屍體三年不腐,從腹中誕生了他的兒子禹。禹最後完成了父親的治水任務,成為名留千古的人物。
據說鲧也是最先創造城郭的人,可能那些遺留在人間的息壤,都用在城市建設中了。
